How do I boost my fundraising?

Started your fundraising, but not progressing as much as you hoped? Look at these tips below to boost your efforts!

Make it personal!

Make sure to personalise your fundraising page by adding images, adding a description of the charity you're fundraising for, and why you have chosen to support this cause. The more creative you can get, the better the outcome!

Be social media savvy

The easiest way to boost your donations towards your fundraising is by sharing on social media! Use Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitch, or other social platforms you use to share your fundraising far and wide. Creating your own hashtag might help spread the word too!

Utilise your network

Speak to as many people as you can about your fundraising, from family to local businesses, to even your old school!

Help raise awareness

Your fundraising journey is not just about raising money, it is about spreading awareness on the charity you're supporting. Make sure to research the charity you are fundraising for to highlight to potential donors why donations are valuable.

Show the evidence

Make sure to post photos and videos about your fundraising events on your fundraising page and your social media, so that donors know what you're doing. One top tip would also be to shout-out publicly people who have donated to your page!

Ask for resources

Contact your charity representative to get as many resources that you can to raise awareness with the wider public. If you're doing a public fundraising event, it would be great to have some flyers and the charity's merch on to get noticed.

Reach out

Don't feel you have to do your fundraising alone - the more the merrier! Get your friends and family to share your fundraising page on their social medias and group chats, and reach out to anyone who can help organise fundraising events with you.

And finally...CELEBRATE YOUR MILESTONES!

What you are doing is absolutely AMAZING, especially whilst you're studying at university. Remember to celebrate the big and little wins, and take breaks when you need them.
